Giovanni Sandri been Head of Southern Europe (Italy, Iberia, and Israel) since April 2023. He is a member of both the EMEA Executive Committee and the Global Operating Committee.
Prior to his current role, Mr Sandri served as Country Head for Italy and Greece.
Until 2019, he was Chief Operating Officer of BlackRock in Italy, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, and a member of the EMEA Operating
Committee. From 2006 to 2009, he held the role of Chief Administrative Officer for the Retail business in Southern Europe (France, Italy, Spain, and
Portugal).
Mr Sandri joined Merrill Lynch Investment Managers in 2005 as Head of Client Service and Administration for Italy. Before joining MLIM, he worked as a Business Analyst and Senior Project Manager in major Italian organizations.
He currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee of Assogestioni, the Cross-Border Asset Management Committee, and as
Deputy Chairman of Assogestioni (since March 2022).
Mr Sandri holds a degree in Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and a professional certification from the SDA Bocconi School of Management.
