Cloé Jans is a political scientist and Senior Project Leader at gfs.bern, Switzerland’s leading political research institute, where she has been a member of the executive management and media spokesperson since 2019. She studied political science at the Universities of Zurich and Bern, earning a Master's degree in Swiss and Comparative Politics, and holds additional postgraduate certificates in Communication Management and Leadership.
With over a decade of experience at gfs.bern, Cloé Jans specialises in public opinion research, political communication and Swiss direct democracy. Her research focuses on social and youth issues, voting behaviour, health policy and infrastructure topics. She also teaches on opinion formation and public opinion at the University of Zurich and at several universities of applied sciences.
She is a sought-after expert commentator in Swiss media, regularly appearing on television to analyse voting results and electoral campaigns.
