The first episode of 2026 of Gamma Explains is dedicated to the topic of Sustainable investing – an approach that invests towards clear sustainability goals, either by supporting credible transitions or by backing solutions that help deliver those goals, while still aiming for long-term financial returns and managing risks responsibly.
Against this backdrop, Andrea Beltratti (Chairman of the EFG Gamma Foundation and Full Professor at Bocconi University) and Melanie Beyeler (Global Head of Sustainable Investing, EFG International) provide a definition of sustainable investing, and discuss the most common types of sustainable investments. They also debate the myths surrounding this topic and clarify the misperceptions around sustainable investing in the market.
